Despite my restoring a MGB GT at the moment I have started to build a list of jobs I would like to do when the car gets SORN for the winter. Not sure if I will do them all but I may as well start a list.
Build new cover for rear parcel box with lid and storage space.
The current cover is ok but some storage would be nice and getting to the fuel tank is a major job with the current setup. I am planning on using ply with a CF wrap and maybe an aluminium box underneath for storage but I am still planning this.
Replace dash for one with digital display and remove steering column cowl.
The current clocks were IVA compliant and they look good. Now I am using the car I find them hard to read when driving and the quality is not fantastic, I have had a few failures already. I also weakened the carbon fibre dash making space for the cowl so that can go at the same time. The new planned dash will be less cluttered with most dials being replaced with the digital dash.
Modify handbrake cable
Since building the car I have struggled to get the handbrake to bite early and the adjuster is at the maximum level, it is also a major job to make an adjustment. I have to remove harnesses, remove seats, remove carpet on tunnel and finally remove the tunnel cover plate over handbrake. Another Mazda SDV builder with the same issue has fitted a turn buckle under the car for quick adjustments, I am planning to copy this idea.

Just tested the DigiDash I have bought for my winter dash upgrade.
