Another day off work for the Westy. Today was a visit to the DVLA to submit my paperwork, I had heard two stories about the DVLA wanting to inspect kit cars, one that is was no longer required as the car has been checked already by VOSA. And the second that local DVLA offices are a law unto themselves and will still insist on an inspection. Guess which was my experiance.
Generaly speaking the DVLA process so far has been great. The office was busy but I was still seen in about twenty minutes, and the staff were polite and knew what they were doing. They can even transfer my private plate straight to the car. All my paperwork was in order and I paid for my first tax disk, but, the car needs to go back to VOSA to be inspected by DVLA. And now we have another day off work. This should be the very very last hurdle and a tax disk with V5 should be the result.
DVLA inspection is set for Tuesday 22nd November.
I have started to de-IVA the car so some new pictures coming soon.
