Since the car was completed I have been unhappy with the exhaust, mainly because it is too loud and because it pops and bangs a little. I have now decided to get a custom system fitted. More to follow

The car is back.
All I could do today was put it on then take it off the trailer, mainly because I collected it before work and time was against me. From the little bit of reving I did the car sounds pretty good. Hoping for good weather this weekend so I can give it a proper run. My plan is to make the whole system black, possibly using a ceramic coating so I didn't ask for any fancy finishes.

A little update to finish this section off.
I have welded in a collar for the o2 sensor which the exhaust people didn't do, without it the engine was bogged down in low revs and the exhaust was very sooty. I have also done some work to add extra support on the rear mounting bracket, the new silencer is heavier and wanted to droop down. I fitted a stiffer rubber mount and made a strap that helps stop the mount from twisting.
I have done a few miles with the new system and I completely love it, the sound is glorious and the noise level is now in proportion to the amount of gas I am giving it, power comes in nice and smooth and I feel happier taking the revs right to the limit. This was an expensive upgrade but I feel worth the money.
As the new system does not have a Catalytic Converter I will need to get one fitted before the first MOT but that is still two years away so I have lots of time to sort this out.
